Well a storm came in and we got dumped on. The kids were so excited when they woke up and wanted to go out and play. Violet didn't last as long as the other two but she tried. I was out anyway so I decided to shovel out our driveway. Well I ended up just doing it up by out front door, what a workout. We actually have gotten more snow since these pictures, I was happy to see the snow plow out today to FINALLY plow our roads. They were so bad on our little streets our corolla could barely make it and only if it got a running start.

Violet loves Dusty Boy. She always wanted to hold him, stroke his hair, and kiss him. It was so cute when we got back home Violet was going to bed and she said with her bottom lip out, "I wanna hold Jens, Dusty Boy.

Maicey and Bailee missed each other, they took turns seeing who could lift the other one up.

Away in a Manger

The kids had their primary Christmas activity tonight and they dressed as Mary, Abinadi, and a Shepard girl. The only way Gage would dress up is if he could be Abinadi, sounds good! They had a really good program for the kids on the birth of Jesus and they went around to different rooms as they acted out the story. At the end they had a lady in our ward (Mary) and her new infant son (Jesus) in a stable and the kids were able to give Jesus their gift. It turned out cute for the kids and helped remind them of what Christmas is about.

My Big 6 year old- Happy Birthday!

I can't believe how fast you've grown it does not seem that long ago we brought you home from the hospital so tiny and perfect. You were born on Christmas Eve and we couldn't have asked for a more special gift.

Maicey decided she wanted a friend party this year so we invited 10 of her friends. I didn't think we would have such a good turn out but 9 out of those friends made it and boy did our house seem full. Maicey had a good time playing with her friends and having the attention all on her.

She changed her mind a few times on what kind of cake to have but lucky for me she decided on cake cupcakes, she thought they looked fancy! The other cake she came up with was a hello kitty three tier type cake.

They all loved winning a prize for the game SANTA (BINGO).

Tree Hunting Fun!

I LOVE having real Christmas trees. I love the outing, the smell, and the unique shapes and sizes that each year has to offer. Jordan's family is big on cutting down their own Christmas trees and it is a tradition in their family to go the day after thanksgiving. They have vaulted ceilings in their home and have brought back the biggest trees I have ever seen fit through a doorway. We are definitely going to keep this tradition and this was our first year hunting for one on our own.

We had a good time and the kids loved seeing the snow, they wanted to stay longer just to play in it but Maicey had to get to school. We weren't sure where some good places were but managed to find this one - it was pretty much the only one around that was the style we wanted. We decided it was a keeper and cut it down. The kids favorite part was crossing the frozen stream. Jordan tested it out and said it was safe to cross so we put our trust in him and went one at a time. Don't worry it wasn't very deep, if it did crack it would have been below our knees.

When we got home Jord got the tree ready and ended up cutting off about 3 ft from the bottom.

As he was cutting off the bottom there was a large limb that came to a second point which came

off with the cut. So our final tree was alot smaller than the original but it fits just perfect in our home!

Jordan made a stand for the extra limb which made a nice mini tree and we gave it to Corey and Maryanne. What a deal a 2 for 1.
